HTC sent out an invite for the unveiling of the new HTC One at the Mobile World Congress 2015 on March 1.
The rumors have already pointed to the HTC One M9 reveal at the MWC 2015. Now it is official. HTC shared an invite for the new HTC One reveal on Twitter. The invite carries the bold statement: “let them stare.”

The new HTC One, known as HTC One M9 internally, is rumored to have a 5-inch display with Full HD resolution (possibly as high as 1,440×2,560px). The 64-bit HTC One runs supposedly on a 2GHz Snapdragon 810 CPU. The phone will come with 3GB of RAM. HTC would offer a 32GB or 64GB version. The back camera of the new HTC One has an advanced 20.7MP whereas the front will be 4MP UltraPixel camera. The new HTC One is also said to have a bigger battery of 2840mAh.
Android L and the latest HTC Sense 7 will be available on the new HTC flagship phone.
HTC will have to battle for attention with Samsung at the MWC 2015. Samsung will unveil the highly anticipated new Galaxy S6. The Galaxy S6 is rumored to be released in two versions. One will have a three-sided screen.
Both smartphone maker will need to impress consumers as the Apple iPhone is gaining market share fast. Last quarter Apple has matched Samsung in global shipped smartphone units according to Strategy Analytics. If Apple can continue the momentum, the company might be able to turn the tables in the smartphone market and make iOS the dominating mobile operating system.
