The HTC Desire Eye is the best phone to take Selfies. Its 13 megapixel front camera allows you to take incredible and amazing selfies.
Smartphones that have high mega-pixel front cameras are becoming very common. Traditionally a 2 MP was good enough for a front camera. Microsoft was the first company who announced a 5MP front camera in their Lumia 735 and later on Huawei followed their league. But now HTC has come up with a 13 mega pixel camera.
Of course, having just a high number of megapixels is not the only thing required to take a good photo; the quality of the sensor and the specs are also important. The design of HTC Desire Eye might not be as smart as the One M8, but its round edged slab of plastic is very appropriate for the mid-range smartphones.
The phone is available in white with red trim and two-tone blue. The phone is 152mm long and 74mm wide and it has a 5.2 inch screen. HTC Desire Eye is very easy to carry because of its feather light weight. The phone weighs 154g. Since the phone is only 8.5mm thick, it was easy to place the camera in a central position.
HTC Desire supports a full HD screen with a pixel density of 423ppi. Text images are displayed with natural colors and they are very clear. The phone supports external memory card. Slots of both microSD and SIM are located on the left edge of the device, and the battery is irreplaceable. The headphone jack is placed at the top of the phone, whereas the Micro-USB charging port is present at the bottom.
The phone supports many motion gestures; one of these gestures launches the camera so that you don’t miss any moment of action. You can wake the phone by double tapping or you can launch BlinkFeed feature by right swipe. To unlock the phone you swipe upwards and to access voice dialing you swipe downwards.
The phone has a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with a 2GB of RAM. The internal memory offered by the phone is 16GB and it supports micro-SD card up to 128GB. The phone is tightly sealed because it is water proof, thus taking out the SIM or the memory card can be frustrating.
The Desire Eye runs Android 4.4.4 kitkat and can be upgraded to Android Lollipop. The upgrading won’t affect the performance of the phone on the contrary; it will improve battery life, according to the company. The phone does not sacrifice in terms of memory unlike HTC M8 One.
There are some extra apps that come pre-installed on the phone including HTC Help, Stocks, Car, HTC News and Kid Mode. The speakers of the phone are pretty reasonable, although they are not as good as HTC M8.
Despite the fact that the front camera is eye catching because of its flash feature, its picture results are not very impressive. However, the flash will provide you the right kind of light, which other phone can’t.
