HTC’s MWC 2015 event just lost its thunder over the weekend. HTC planned to unveil the new HTC One M9 at the Mobile World Congress on March 1. Over the weekend not only official HTC images of the HTC One leaked, but also hands-on photos. On top of that all specifications of the new HTC flagship smartphone are revealed.
The HTC One M9 official photos and specifications leaked on a German online store spotted by Mobile Geeks. After this leak, Phandroid followed up with hands-on photos of the HTC One M9 revealing the small design changes.
Overall the leaks just confirm what has been already rumored about the M9. The overall design is similar to the current HTC One. And why not? The HTC One has one of the best designs in the Android segment.
The most noticeable change is that HTC moved the power button to the side of the device. All buttons are no on the right edge of the phone. The specification of the HTC One M9 include Snapdragon 810 chipset with Adreno 430 GPU (Octa-Core), 3GB RAM, 5-inch full HD (1080p) display, Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7.0, 20.7MP camera on the rear, UltraPixel camera on the front and 2,840mAh battery.
HTC has teased the HTC One event at the MWC 2015 with the bold statement: “let them stare.” Well. We have seen it all already. The HTC One M9 impresses with the high-res camera and the powerful processing. Let’s see how the Samsung Galaxy S6 will measure up once it will be revealed at the MWC 2015.
The specifications leaked so far of the Galaxy S6 show several similarities to the HTC One. Which Android phone will come out on top will be in the details. The Galaxy S6 could though leave the HTC One behind if the rumor about the built-in wireless charging turns out to be true.
