Valeria Lukyanova’s life mission is to prove she is the real deal Human Barbie. And to prove she is fabulous without getting dolled up, she posted a photo online sans makeup.
In the latest news about the most widely-known human Barbie doll lookalikes, the world has finally gotten to see her sans rouge, blush, eyeliner, you name it. Monday, Valeria Lukyanova posted a selfie without makeup on her Facebook page. It’s been a long time coming, but the Russian-born model and feminist proved that she was glamourous even when going au-natural.
The “Human Barbie” doll uploaded a minimilist image of herself on social media, and judging by the fans’ reactions, she still has an enchanting appearance. Many were led to wonder why she even needs to pile on makeup when she is charming without cosmetics.
Lukyanova became in instant sensation on YouTube years ago when she began posting snaps of herself appearing in the image of the popular Mattel Barbie doll. Lukyanova came under fire by individuals and groups assailing her over the message she is sending to teens and young adults about beauty.
However, the Barbie doll lookalike hit back at critics and denied claims that she underwent dozens of plastic surgery procedures to obtain the likeness of Barbie. Notwithstanding breast implants, Valeria says her body is all natural and the result of eating a balanced diet, meditation and having a positive outlook on life. Some media sources claim the human Barbie impersonator said she can survive on air and water alone.
Human Barbie.org, the site that hosts Valeria Lukyanova’s images, says that it supports the will, strength and inner-beauty of all women. The site seeks to empower women and teach them that beauty can be both inside and out.
“The mission is to inspire young women to have the voice, ability and problem solving capacity to speak up, be decision makers, create visionary change and realize their full potential. Its seeks to address the very heart of issues confronting girls thereby increasing confidence in their own voice and convictions, developing life-skills, and improving the ability to identify paths and resources within their communities that can contribute to positive change and break cycles for a lifetime.”
Do you think the Human Barbie doll lookalike has more than her share of admitted cosmetic procedures to augment her body? Do you think her picture without makeup is better before or after the posting?
