Instagram takes the next level in advertising, launching 15 second autoplay video ads. The first brands running Instagram video ads are Disney, Activision, Lancome, Banana Republic and CW.
The ads have a nice edge that make them different from other video ads or from TV ads. Disney’s Big Hero 6 ad for instance uses the selfie thing and the ads in general are very in your face.

That Activision is using all available advertising channels right now is clear with the imminent launch of Call of Duty. CW advertises their new show The Flash in what looks like a smartphone video. This is also genius. Let’s hope Instagram can keep up the high entertainment factors of their new video ad format.
