So the iPhone 6 Plus kicked off with more sales than its smaller brother and Apple was forced to make a change in its previous production plan. Now that plan would certainly need to accommodate more and more room for the iPhone 6 Plus since the phablet has received lots of attention even in the Chinese market. Digitimes has reported that the demand for the iPhone 6 Plus was higher in China than Apple had predicted.

Both the models of the iPhone 6 were launched in China last Friday after an entire week was spent taking pre orders and since the first day of launch, consumers have shown immense preference for the larger of the two models.

“As a result, Apple /4/be forced to shift more production capacity to the 5.5-inch model, said the sources, adding that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus supply ratio is likely to change to 55:45 from 70:30 or 65:35 set originally.”

Reports coming through from the start of this month indicated that Apple was planning to accommodate a shift in its production plan which would predominantly focus on the iPhone 6 Plus. One other report has also suggested this larger 6 Plus would even end up accounting for up to 60 percent of total future iPhone 6 device shipments.
