iPhone 6S has 12MP Camera and Won't Bend Says Analyst

Well regarded Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities shares his predictions for the iPhone 6S to be revealed this Fall.

There will be a new iPhone this fall. That is pretty much the only thing we know for sure at this point. The iPhone rumor mill has not yet turn up a leaked part of the iPhone 6S or iPhone 7. Today respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities has released a research note obtained by AppleInsider to his clients with his predictions on the iPhone 6S features.

The iPhone 6S features according to Kuo include a new 12MP camera sensor, additional microphone near speaker to improve sound quality, Force Touch, A9 CPU, 2GB RAM and improved Touch ID sensor.

Apple is also supposed to add a fourth color option with Rose Gold in the iPhone 6S line-up. Kuo also says that Apple again is not releasing a new 4-inch iPhone this year. The iPhone 5C would be due for a performance update as Apple did not touch the low-end iPhone last year.

Apple is also supposed to bring a new design with different casing materials and a restructured internal design to prevent Bend Gate for the iPhone 6S.

Apple is hopefully also solving the little design flaws of the iPhone 6. Namely the nasty isolation stripes on the backside and the protruding camera lens.

The introduction of the larger screen iPhones has pushed iPhone sales dramatically. Apple is now the number one in China and also sells more iPhones in China than in the United States.
