Apple’s team currently working with the MIT academics for its ResearchKit apps
With its new platform, Apple has opened ways for medical research and now it doesn’t sound too odd since the Apple Watch has been focused around some health perspectives too. The company, however, wants to take this platform one step ahead. Sources from MIT have confirmed that Apple’s team is currently working with the academics for its ResearchKit apps which allow users to take a DNA test from their iPhones.
This inherently does not mean that Apple would be able to take out the DNA directly as the test sounds like. But instead, you will find it easier to collect genes and then share them with the scholars. Some main findings of the tests have already been featured on the app and you can use these to determine whether a condition you are differing from is genetic or not.
Apple has decided to remain silent on the matter for now but it wont be long before we see these apps and find everything out for ourselves. Fortunately, the WWDC event is also coming up and Apple wants its studios to be ready in time for that.
