It’s that time of the year when all families come together enjoying the turkey, mince pies and eggnog. The time to hang out with family and friends and when you are all too tired and it’s too cold outside, crash on your couch and watch some quality TV.

The TV stations know that at this special time of the year, you all want some quality TV and that’s why they have made a schedule tailor-made for the holiday season. There are all those animations movies you want to sit down to with your kids and enjoy some quality time with them.

Frosty the Snowman, Kung Fu Panda Holiday will feature Po doing all the Christmas cooking and Merry Madagascar will see Alex and the gang mess with King Julien again on CW. Toy Story that Time Forgot is being featured on ABC. It is one of Pixar’s greatest hits and it was nominated for an Oscar so you know its fun. Also coming on ABC is Shrek Halls.

How Murray Saved Christmas on NBC is a new adaption that will be interesting to watch and it’s about Christmas so what way to enjoy. PETER PAN LIVE! on NBC casting Allison Williams in the movie about the boy who doesn’t age, who whisks Wendy Darling and her two brothers off to Neverland where they face off against the evil Captain Hook played by Christopher Walken. If you are not an animation person, there are also the children feature movies. 

I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown! On ABC will be about Renu wanting a new dog after her old one got ran over by a dog. Charlie Brown’s own commentary will also be featured about over-commercialization of Christmas so that will be a good lesson to teach.

Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol on CW is all about the spirit of Christmas and teach the children about the value and importance of family, Santa Claus is Coming to Town on ABC and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on CBS is also featuring on Primetime so be sure to catch it along with leftovers.

If you are interested in what is happening in Christmas music, the CMA Country Christmas hosted by Jennifer Nettles will feature Dan + Shay, Brett Eldredge, Sara Evans, Lucy Hale, Hunter Hayes, Little Big Town, Idina Menzel, Jennifer Nettles, LeAnn Rimes,Michael W. Smith, and Carrie Underwood coming together to celebrate the holiday mood.

Christmas in Rockfeller Center on NBC is a tradition as storied as the holiday itself is the annual lighting of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Plaza. This year’s special is hosted by Today show anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Natalie Morales and features musical performances from Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, Cyndi Lauper, Sara Bareilles, Idina Menzel, LeAnn Rimes, Pentatonix and Trisha Yearwood. 

Jim Parson’s will be playing ELF: Buddy’s Musical Christmas; the new stop-motion musical special as Santa himself narrates Buddy’s travels to the Big Apple to meet his father and bring joy to everyone he meets through the power of Christmas cheer.

The The iHEARTRADIO Jingle Ball 2014 on CW will feature musical performers include Taylor Swift, Iggy Azalea, Maroon 5, Ariana Grande, Sam Smith, Meghan Trainor, Pharrell Williams, 5 Seconds of Summer, Jessie J and OneRepublic performing live at Madison Square Garden.

Christmas isn’t complete without Buble so Michael BubleChristmas IN New York fourth annual special features Barbra Streisand, Ariana Grande, Miss Piggy and the Rockettes so get down to the jazzy jingles. If that wasn’t enough swoon factor, One Direction is doing their first feature show on Christmas.

If you want some more British fun, Downton Abbey and Doctor Who have scheduled special Christmas episode. Other than that you can also watch the movie marathons including Jurassic Park, Rambo and Indiana Jones are coming for the whole series and TV series will also be featured; Modern Family, Portlandia, The Affair, Law and Order: SVU, Pawn Stars, Best Bars in America and Thanksgiving with Friends(That’s about ten to fifteen episodes) if you enjoy drama.

There’s also FOOTBALL all day and the Macy’s Parade if you’re in the mood for some peppy fun. One things for sure, we are not getting bored. You don’t have to have the blues if you are away from family or want to have a fun time of you are with family then TV has all your answers and you have the TV stations to thanks for that.
