Daughters Jessa and Jill will also share their story. Their exclusive interview will air on Friday in a special “The Kelly File” show
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have finally broken their silence about elder son’s molestation scandal in which Josh was accused of molesting five underage girls as a teenager.
It has been reported earlier that some of the family members from Duggar family were also among the molestation victims. Their names were finally revealed on Wednesday’s interview with Megyn Kelly. The Duggar parents identified their two daughters 22 years old Jessa and 24 years old Jill as the victims of their son’s molestation.
Talking about how they come to know about their daughters being mistreated, they revealed that Josh came to them crying when he was just 14 years old and told them that he touched his sisters improperly while they were sleeping.
“He said he was just curious about girls and he had gone in and just basically touched them over their clothes while they were sleeping. They didn’t even know he had done it.” Jim Bob said.
Michelle added that “there was so much grief in our hearts” when their son came to them and confessed what he had done. “I think, as parents, we felt, ‘We’re failures.”
The stars of hit reality show “19 Kids and Counting” said. “We’ve tried to raise our kids to do what’s right – to know what’s right – and yet one of our children made some really bad choices and I think, as a parent, just…we were devastated.”
Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard were also interviewed for “The Kelly File” which will air on Friday in a special one-hour show. They were upset that their secret came out because it affected their lives as well as Josh’s.
Jessa said what her brother did to her was “very wrong” but she did not want to call him a child molester or a rapist, what people want her to say, “I’m like, that is so overboard and a lie really. I mean, people get mad at me for saying that but I can say this because I was one of the victims.”
