- JK Rowling: I have always said never say … well, not never say never for more Harry Potter books.
J.K. Rowling sits down with TODAY’s Matt Lauer to discuss the possibility of an 8th Harry Potter book.
The last book of the worldwide phenomenon Harry Potter was released 8 years ago, but the fandom is still as strong. Matt Lauer of the Today Show is seen questioning the author J.K. Rowling if fans will ever be lucky enough to receiver another chapter inside the life of Harry and his pals.
The first question by Lauer asked Rowling if she has been busy writing the next instalment of Harry Potter since she has been out of the spot light for so long. Rowling laughed at the insinuation but bluntly replied ‘No’ she has not been working on another Harry Potter book.
Even though fans will hold out hope and someone might already be altering her interview to make it look like she promised a new book, Rowling has not been writing another Harry Potter book.
Rowling went on to explain she does not have any definite plans to write another chapter but she will never say she will ‘Never’ write another Harry Potter book. Although Rowling has closed the story on the Wizarding world the hope will always remain alive.
Harry Potter 8 would be about what happened next in the lives of Harry, Ron and Hermione, which is not going to happen as far as Rowling is concerned. However Rowling has been working on the script for her book ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’.
Rowling also shed light on her charity work for the welfare of orphan children through her charity organization ‘Lumos’ which means light. Rowling has been striving for better welfare of 8 million children internationally living in orphanages.
Rowling’s goal is to address the real reason of the children’s suffering and why they end up in institutions, which is poverty. Children have always been the focus for Rowling who loves to write for children and wants to help them in any way.
