Joan Rivers to be Replaced By Kathy Griffin

All the fans of Fashion Police should keep their fingers crossed. The show is set to continue after a halt that was brought by the death of Joan Rivers on September 4. Rivers’s replacement has already been selected by her daughter, Melissa Rivers.

Kathy was picked as the new host due to her strong ties with Rivers. The show is set to continue filming in January 2015. According to Daily Mail, Kathy has been officially signed by Rivers’s daughter, Melissa Rivers. Melissa said she settled for Kathy because she was sure that her mother would not oppose her decision due to their strong bond with the actress behind the screens.

Melissa’s decision is final due to the fact that she is the show’s director and producer. It is anticipated that Melissa will be featured in an introductory clip where she will introduce Kathy as the new fashion cop.

In other news, Melissa was quoted by Music Times saying that her mother’s death was caused by breach of ethics by the medics who were treating her at Yorkville clinic. It is alleged that Rivers died after her doctors removed some tissues from her body (biopsy) with the aim of testing them under the microscope. The procedure is believed to have resulted in heart failure that ended her life.

The procedure targeted Rivers’s vocal cords, something that her daughter believes was not necessary. The Procedure was carried out by Gwen Korovin under close supervision from Dr. Lawrence Cohen. Lawrence has since been sacked by the clinic. Though Melissa has not yet filled any lawsuit against the said medics, the two practitioners are believed to have hired lawyers to represent them.

Korovin is said to have taken a snap with Rivers while in the operation room. The two doctors are gracing themselves for through grilling by New York Medical Exerminer’s board and the New York Health Department.
