Former American Idol contestant Joanne Borgella died of cancer at the age of 32 years.
Joanne Borgella, who was one of the famous former contestants of American idol died last Saturday morning. She was suffering from cancer and was 32 years-old. News of her death got revealed on Facebook by her family members.
They said in a post that she died of cancer after losing a battle to the disease. They also shared the fact that they were truly saddened by her death. They said that she had gone up to the heavens to meet the Lord of the world.
Joanne Borgella was a contestant in the seventh season of American idol. She was included in the top 24 contestants of this competition. She was seen in different reality shows afterwards which included MADE and Curvy Girls.
Although she was a plus size girl, she was immensely famous as a plus size model. She appeared in various advertisements and did many fashion shows. She had the skill to carry any kind of dress and yet look beautiful.
Her diagnosis was made when she was working in the industry. Her family revealed the fact that she chose to fight this disease off instead of surrendering to it. She worked harder and also got treatment for her cancer. She had a lot of faith in herself and had a lot of courage to think positively about her life.
Her family shared the fact that the death of Joanne Borgella was a great loss for them. They also said that they knew she will be in heaven now because of her patience and good deeds.
Joanne Borgella posted a month back on Facebook which was also her last post on Facebook. She shared that she was going for the cancer treatment. Her post also showed that she was hopeful and positive about her life ahead.
She wrote in her last post that she was heading for radiation therapy. She also prayed for health and asked her fans to pray for her recovery in her last post. Her fans can leave condolence messages on her Facebook fan page which will be delivered to her family.
