Jodie Foster Disposes Her Spanish Villa in Hollywood Hills at 5 Million
At last Jodie Foster has found a willing buyer for her Spanish Villa that is located in Hollywood Hills. The home had been listed for a long time and apparently, potential buyers were shying away from it.
The actress thought people were not buying her home because it was overpriced and she had assigned it to the wrong real estate agent. She was actually dead wrong because the story remained the same despite slashing the price severally and switching to different agents.
Dailymail reported that the first agent to be assigned the home was Hilton & Hyland in June last year. Back then, the home was going for $6.4 million. After failing to find a willing buyer, Foster decided to bring the price down to $5.6 million and listed the home at Westside Estate agency.
Though the home occupies 6,000 square foot and is situated within Bird Streets, it could not fetch the amount that the star had speculated.But as fate would have it, someone somewhere was looking to buy such a property and by sheer luck the blonde actress managed to close a deal at $5 million.
The home was actually not new when Foster bought it. Ownership records shows that the actress had acquired it from the previous owner in 1995. Funny enough the home was owned by a fellow actress, Cheryl Tiegs. As a matter of fact, the home is way too old because it was constructed in 1935.
The two times Oscar winner was privileged to enjoy the stylish home that has four bedrooms and a high hedge that is meant to shield her from by passers. The house is fitted with wooden ceilings and well polished wooden floor that is easy to clean. Foster is said to have shifted to another house that she had bought in Beverly Hills at $11.7 million.
