Johnny Depp marries Amber Heard

Wedding takes place in LA on Tuesday instead of being taken place at Little Hall’s Pond Cay in the Bahamas over the weekend.

Johnny Depp, the 51-year-old Hollywood Superstar, who is known as the wonderful Sea Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean Series and star of Mortdecai, marries his 28-year-old girlfriend on Tuesday, according to People magazine.  

Johnny Depp tied the knot with Amber Heard in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles before the expected weekend wedding planned in the Bahamas on Johnny Depp’s private island paradise. Actually, it was reported previously that Depp was expected to marry Amber on weekend in a little bigger wedding ceremony on Depp’s private island “Little Hall’s Pond Cay”.

This is Johnny Depp’s second marriage. His first marriage was to Lori Anne Allison, a makeup artist from 1983-1985. Johnny Depp also has two children with Paradis, daughter Lily-Rose, 15 and son Jack, 12. This is the first marriage for Amber Heard. Before Johnny Depp, Amber was dating the photographer Tasya van Ree. They had been together for four years. 

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard met on the set of “The Rum Diary” in 2011. They began dating in late 2012 after Johnny Depp broke up with long-time partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s relationship in 2012 was littered with rumors of breakup but sources close to the couple say that they are better than ever. 

But the couple got engaged in December 2013, after dating for one year. The couple celebrated their engagement later in March with a medieval style engagement party in LA, which included guests Marilyn Manson, Mandy Moore, Steven Tyler, Jerry Bruckheimer and Betty Sue Palmer, Johnny Depp’s mother. 

Previously, the sources told PageSix that the weekend of February 7-8 is an ideal one for the couple’s marriage. After working out their schedules, this weekend seemed to fit. Amber Heard is filming in London and Johnny Depp begins filming the next part in “Pirates of the Caribbean” in Australia. This was the only weekend where they could all get together for the wedding.

The wedding was planned to be an intimate ceremony on the island of Little Hall’s Pond Cay, a little piece of paradise owned by Johnny Depp. The island, which was bought by Johnny Depp in 2004 after shooting the Pirates of the Caribbean, can only be reached by boat or seaplane. The Bahama Island is said to be immensely beautiful, tranquil and private. According to Johnny Depp, he has not seen such a beautiful and pure place before.

However, Johnny Depp can’t wait till weekend to marry Amber. That’s why, he married Amber in LA on Tuesday.
