Johnny Depp’s dogs Pistol & Boo will be killed by Australian authorities if not taken out of the country soon!
The minister of Agriculture of Australia Barnaby Joyce has given a deadline of Saturday to Johnny Depp and his wife Amber Heard to fly his dogs out of Australia otherwise they will be put down. Depp own two dogs Pistol and Boo and brought them along with him to Australia on the 21st of April. However Joyce accused Depp of having smuggled his dog in on his private jet.
Australian quarantine authorities told actor Johnny Depp Thursday to fly his dogs Pistol and Boo out of the country by Saturday or they will be put down, reported ABC Australia. According to Australian law bringing pets in from foreign countries involves applying for a permit and quarantine for at least 10 days.
The laws are strict in Australia to prevent the spread of diseases such as rabies on its shores and the department discovered Depp brought his dog along in his private jet without permission to film the fifth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean film.
The authorities discovered the presence of Pistol and Boo on Australian soil when on Saturday a handler took them to a Gold Coast dog groomer in a handbag. On Wednesday the Agriculture Department gave Depp a 72 hours period to remove the pets from Australian soil or have them put down.
Joyce specifically told the media it’s time for Pistol and Boo to be beggared off to America and if they don’t they are going to euthanize them. Joyce also claimed he will not be breaking any rules for movie stars. The dogs are currently at the home of Depp and were visited by the Department of Agriculture officials who checked them but did not take them.
