  • Kanye West Denies Rumors of Dirty Language in His Billboard Music Awards Songs

Kanye West has denied any rumors of the usage of dirty language in his songs which he sang at the Billboard Music Awards. According to Kanye, the censorship policy of the administration at the awards show was too stringent.

Kanye is up to his kooky ways again! Recently, he delivered the staccato lyrics to the songs “All Day” and “Black Skinhead” at the Billboard Music Awards and it raised quite a stink. Kanye employed foul words in his songs which were immediately censored by those behind the scenes.

But good old Kanye is adamant that the censorship went on unabated even when he wasn’t spouting any curse words. And he is mad as hell at this perceived injustice by the event management, according to TMZ.

Kanye had already handed in the explicit lyrics of his songs to the management for perusal. Thus they knew when to put a lid on his songs. Yet when the sound disguise bleep went on for 15 seconds several times during the performances, it peeved Kanye to no end.

It was agreed upon later on that the censorship went a little too far in its draconian policy of voice suppression. In a liberal and democratic country like America, such shutting out of an artist’s freedom of speech goes against all the norms of the land.

Kanye also had health issues besides this slight spat with the Billboard Music Awards execs. He received a couple of cortisone shots for some unspecified ailments over the weekend. Currently, he needs a rest for frayed nerves.

Read below full statement of Kanye West’s publicist:

“Non-profane lyrics such as ‘with my leather black jeans on’ were muted for over 30-second intervals. As a result, his voice and performance were seriously misrepresented.

“It is ridiculous that in 2015 unwarranted censorship is something that artists still have to fight against.

“Although West was clearly set up to face elements beyond his control during the live broadcast, he would like to apologise to the television audience who were unable to enjoy the performance the way he envisioned.”
