“It’s going to take a lifetime to trust him again.”
Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett have decided to move forward and work on their marriage after half a year of controversy surrounding an alleged cheating incident with Baskett.
This led to multiple stories over the last few months that Wilkinson had flushed her wedding ring down the toilet, was considering filing for divorce, and tired of seeing the scandal be repeated through media outlets worldwide.
Baskett is alleged to have had an affair with a transgender model back in June, but no concrete proof has come to light to either prove or disprove that Wilkinson’s husband cheated on her. That left her with becoming convinced her husbands’ story was the one she would believe over the rumored news that was spreading across social media.
“It’s going to take a lifetime to trust him again,” Wilkinson admitted, to which her husband, 32, later replied, “I will spend my life trying to get Kendra to trust me again.”
The couple are working on rebuilding their relationship, and Wilkinson admitted how difficult it was to handle the news over this last summer that her husband had an affair.
“All I can say is I believe Hank. I love Hank. And he’s proven to me that he’s worth forgiving and fighting for,” she tells Us. “He was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and unfortunate things took place. He’s very gullible and naive.”
“I would cry myself to sleep every night, not knowing what happened,” she recalled. “I was trying to get what I could out of Hank, but I couldn’t control my rage. It became very volatile between us.”
The couple sat down last week for an interview and opened up about how they were handling their relationship moving forward.
“We’re two human beings who discovered we’re not perfect,” Kendra explained
The couple decided that renewing their martial union would be a good first step on getting back on track to having a normal family after the controversy arose.
