Kim Richards arrested after alleged drinking

“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” actress is struggling to maintain sobriety

Kim Richards was arrested at Beverly Hills Hotel Thursday morning on the accusations of public intoxication and disorderly behavior at the hotel.

According to TMZ, the bizarre situation occurred when Kim Richards was asked to leave the hotel by the management because as she was getting totally hammered and behaving odd with the guests inside the lounge. Richards refused to do so and locked herself inside the restroom. Hotel security called the police to intervene and remove “RHOBH” famed actress from the location.

Kim Richards reportedly showed resistance and refused to come out. Then, police had to enter the restroom and eventually took her into the custody. The spokesman of Beverly Hills Police Department said in a statement that Richards appeared “belligerent with slurred speech and reeking of a strong odor alcohol.” It was also told that Kim Richards kicked a police officer as well when she taken to the nearby jail. Police charged Richards with trespassing, resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and drunk in public and later released her on $20,000 bond, according to the sources.

Kim Richards, who struggled with substance abuse in the past, is having same issues in recent times as well. She entered the rehab in 2011 but she could not avoid relapse and later admitted to being alcoholic. The recent incident also puts a big question mark on her sobriety. 

On the unfortunate incident of the arrest of Kim Richards, the co-star and friend Adrienne Maloof responded “I think this is a cry for help. Right now Kim needs help. She, Kyle and Kathy are in my prayers and have my full support.”
