The PR lists the suggested retail price as 299 euro, a full €100 more expensive than the G Watch.
We do admit that the upcoming G Watch R is certainly doing a good job with its appearance but apart from this round P-OLED screen and the impressive case design, there isn’t much difference between the R watch and the original LG G Watch. But of course style matters a lot and those who have been waiting for this round O-LED screen would be more than willing to pay a little extra only for the sake of the appearance. If the news regarding the German release of the G watch is any true then the premium is going to be there for sure. According to PR, the suggested retail price is 299 euro, which is a full €100 more expensive than the G Watch. They have also dropped a hint at the release date for the watch which is going to be October.
€300 is approximately $395, but thanks to the economics of releasing electronics and other high-value goods in Europe, the American price will probably be much closer to $300. But this is still more than the $230 price tag of the G Watch and also the stylish Moto 360 which costs $50 less.
