LG has unveiled Aka smartphone which has eyes and is fun to use.

Siri might be able to crack a joke with you but it cant really look at you in the eyes simply because it doesn’t have any eyes. However, the new LG Aka, pronounced “aw-kuh”, is going to come with ‘eyes’. This might sound creepy but the Android powered phone has eyes which peek out from the case to make an eye contact with the user.

There are four Akas, which pretty much take after the shade plan of Pacman’s apparitions and much the same as them have their names and identities. Eggy is yellow and effectively experiences passionate feelings, Wooky is white and is a bit of a spook, Yoyo is pink and experiences issues adhering to its eating methodology (so its weight yo-yo’s) and Soul comes in Black and is a music darling. There’s a backstory about the Akas, which includes an outsider attack.

The mid range phone is part of the LG G series and features a 5″ 720p screen. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB RAM and runs the Android 4.4 KitKat. The 8 MP camera is also pretty impressive with a 2 MP front shooter along with all other features including 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, LTE connectivity and a 2,610mAh battery. Keeping aside all this, the eyes are the striking feature of the phone; they react when they look at you and when you get notifications and get dizzy when you shake the phone. The eyes can apparently also show emotions with changing colors.

It is up for sale in South Korea for KRW 500,000 ($455) whereas the availability outside its home country is still unknown.
