The new app will offer credit call and pay as you go plans for cheaper calls across borders

Just when we thought that the LINE was all about stickers, the company started claiming the extensive use of the apps telling us that they could be more useful than we think they are. If the company keeps on the right tracks and follows the plan which they have disclosed then there will be more apps coming in within the next month. So we should be expecting a lot from this Japanese messaging service which is bringing the data-based call service that aims to cut down on the voice-call pricing on typical land-lines and mobile carriers.

And this leaves us to think that this might be a direct take on the Whatsapp and Viber platform. On the company’s showcase event, their pay-as-you-go and 30-day plans were outlined in detail and this indicates that the service is all set to get released next Month across the borders of Japan, US, Mexico, Spain, Thailand and the Philippines.

The 30-day plan is quite affordable with one minute for 6.5 yen which roughly equals to 6.4 cents and for the native country, this plan will offer up to a maximum of 60 minutes maximum, encompassing both mobile and landline calls. The call credit plan on the other hand 14 yen per minute to mobile phones (which will include overseas calls as well) and three yen to landlines.
