The two companies will pair together rides and tickets to get everyone home safer.

Uber recently announced on their blog that they are going to team up Live Nation this summer for some of the busiest and most sought after concerts. In order to increase productivity and safety, 62 Live Nation venues and 20 festivals nationwide will have designated pick up and drop off points that will streamline the process and help with traffic planning. The app will perfectly sync with the venues and festivals so that friends and carpools can arrange pick up and drop off times, or they might be able to catch Ubers like they would a cab.

The first event that will feature the Uber and Live Nation pairing will be the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in New York. Riders can sign up ahead of time, and then prior to each event, they will receive pertinent information about the best ways to plan ahead ensuring they can easily get where they want go and enjoy all their favorite acts. The hope is that this will eliminate a lot of the congestion.

“Fans want the journey to and from a concert to be as smooth as possible. Uber offers a convenient alternative to driving for riders to any event, and we are thrilled about the experience this brings for all of our fans,” Russell Wallach, the president of Live Nation media said.

Uber says there will be some significant updates to their app to match the changes, and that should come within the next few weeks. For those who pick their tickets up or who download the app, they will see this promo:
