Logitech unveils its latest iPad keyboard

Logitech has unveiled a new Ultrathin keyboard cover for the Apple iPad line of tablets. The Ultrathin is available for the iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retain tablets. This is an updated version of the Ultrathin keyboard that was offered in the past.

The new version of the ultrathin has a multi-angle slot for the tablet that lets the user change the angle for the screen for comfort. It’s also thinner and lighter than the older mode. Logitech says that the Ultrathin keyboard cover is 6.4mm thick.

“The way we use the iPad is changing,” said Mike Culver, vice president and general manager of mobility at Logitech. “The iPad is no longer just for content consumption; it is for content creation wherever you go. The Logitech Ultrathin has evolved with the new ways in which we use the iPad making it thinner, lighter, and more flexible than ever before. It is the other half of your iPad.”

The keyboard connects to the tablet via Bluetooth. It has keys with iOS shortcuts built in and the keys are arranged for comfortable typing. The outside of the ultrathin is aluminum that is matched to the finish of the iPad models.

The Logitech Ultrathin for iPad air is $99.99. The Ultrathin for iPad mini and mini with Retina is $89.99. Both versions of the keyboard will ship in the US and in some parts of Europe in May.
