This new ConferenceCam Connect by Logitech will enable mobile audio and video collaboration for small groups in any workspace.

Logitech has announced today a new transformation in communication. The company has introduced a new conference camera. This new Logitech ConferenceCam Connect is basically a portable all in one videoconference solution which has a breakthrough design for small and medium sized rooms. This new device can work with any computing devices that has a USB connection, with any videoconferencing software such as Microsoft Lync and Skype, Google Hnagouts, Zoom, Lifesize, Cisco Jabber and many others and the device can also be moved from one room to another. 

Jason Moss the general manager of the Collaboration Group at Logitech stated that the cost of this new device is the same to that of an office chair and so all businesses can afford to quickly connect with customers, remote employees and vendors anytime and anywhere with the help of the company’s new ConferenceCam Connect. He also stated that the company believes that there can be no work space that should not have videoconferencing capability. This capability he said can be provided with the company’s new ConferenceCam which will help them to connect to meetings no matter where they are. Moreover Bill Haskins the senior analyst and partner at Wainhouse Research stated that nowadays team are collaborating more regularly than ever before and share content using video conferencing but this has many problems and challenges. These challenges he explained will be met by Logitech’s ConferenceCam Connect which provides a combination of flexibility and portability. 

Moreover this new device also has Mac and PC compatibility for videoconferencing and mobile connectivity for screen mirror projection through the Miracast technology. Another interesting feature of this device is that the Windows and Android users can connect wirelessly to the ConferenceCam to screen mirror presentations, videos, spreadsheets or even Internet content from a mobile device to a TV screen through an HDMI connection that the device has been equipped with. The device will also offer the users with a razor-sharp resolution and the ability to clearly see objects and everyone in the room with the help of a 90 degree field of view which will have a digital pan and tilt plus 4x digital Full HD zoom and ZEISS optics with auto focus. With such outstanding qualities this new device will be a hit in the market and will solve all the problems and challenges of video conferencing. The device will run on AC power or battery. With a full charge the users can use the device to hold a videoconference for up to 3 hours or could only use the speakerphone for nearly 15 hours. Moreover Logitech has optimized this device for Microsoft Lync 2013 and is also WebEx compatible and even Skype certified. This then ensures a broad based UC compatibility.

The device will be available throughout the world in March 2015 at a price of $499. With such new and outstanding features the device will definitely be a hit and solve all the problems that people face while they hold videoconferencing.
