Mary Kate McEacharn is to wed Duck Dynasty star, John Luke Robertson soon.
It is a time of revelry on the set of Duck Dynasty. The grandson of Phil Robertson, John Luke Robertson, is about to get married to his love interest, Mary Kate McEacharn.
The proposal took place at his birthday party at which he became 19 years of age. John is as happy as a hippo in mud. According to him, he was so ecstatic to be marrying his girlfriend.
He cited his parents who also got married at a relatively young age. They were the moral beacons for what was right and wrong in his life.
John said that after 22 years of marriage, his parents were so happy together. He hoped he would be just as happy in his future years which were yet to be with Mary Kate McEacharn.
“I am so excited to marry my best friend,” John Luke told E! News on Sunday. “I know my parents married young as well, and they have always been examples of what ‘could be’ to me. Fast-forward 22 years and they are more in love than ever, and I hope Mary Kate and I are the same way in the years to come. God has truly blessed us.”
John posted a pic on Instagram that had his girl showing an engagement ring while he, John, held a placard that said “Future Mrs. Robertson.”
As for Mary, she said the words “Happy Birthday, to the boy I am going to marry”. John on the other hand wrote “She. Said. Yes.”

The two lovebirds went to the same educational institute. Mary Kate is currently in college though. And they actually didn’t go out on dates (sticking to their Christian values) until March of this year.
They have been tourists though. Italy was one of the romantic places where they have ventured as a twosome. John’s parents happen to be Korie Robertson and Willie Robertson.
His father’s father is none other than the Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson. His parents wed at the youthful ages of 18 and 19. That was more than two decades ago. Willie and Korie too tweeted their congratulations to their son and his wife-to-be.

Meanwhile, John’s sister, Rebecca Robertson had a picture taken of herself amidst the two engaged and in-love duo.
In a way, they are on the right track, since marriage looks good when it takes place in the immediate post-pubertal years. The trend of late marriages that haunts modern times is the source of much malaise and misery not to mention a whole lot of sexual frustration.
