Melissa McCarthy Honored with Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

The plump and cute actress, Melissa McCarthy celebrated her very own personal Walk of Fame star alongside talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. Her hubby was present at the occasion too.

The roly poly and charming actress with a constant smile on her face, Melissa McCarthy has just unveiled her Walk of Fame star in Hollywood. And the talk show host Ellen DeGeneres was by her side when this occurrence took place. 

Melissa is in her middle age years and her husband and co-worker, Ben Falcone was there beside her at this very important moment. Funky and spunky Melissa is known for her crucial role in Bridesmaids.  

Her new movie The Spy is about to come out soon. And she will be starring in a female version of Ghostbusters which will be directed by Paul Feig. Melissa, who loves to joke, said that she was almost fearful lest the star turn out to be a fake one and she got the shock of a lifetime.

But thankfully it was real. She delivered a heartfelt speech before the unveiling though and conveyed her true feelings to the crowd gathered at the momentous event.  

“It was emotional… it is kind of overwhelming. When I pulled the cover off the star I thought it would say ‘just kidding’. That would have been a good one,” Melissa told reporters after revealing her Hollywood Walk of Fame star in front of the famous TCL Chinese Theater.

Melissa confessed that the whole thing was like a series of unreal phantasmagoria. She couldn’t have believed that one day she would get such an honor. Melissa also let the press know that both Ellen and Director Paul Feig had praised her beyond the usual accolades reserved for run-of-the-mill actresses. 

“I still can’t believe what is happening and where I’m standing right now, it’s a little overwhelming in the best of ways, I need a moment to process what is happening,” she said.

She said that it really felt like a dream. Her having a husband and two kids was a part of this dream which she would not have believed in a decade ago. But, as they say, life has a way of evening things out in the end.

“If I had told myself any of these things 10 years ago I would have assumed I was having a nervous breakdown. I cannot be more delighted this is real,” Melissa McCarthy said (via Irish Examiner).
