Reports on Nokia working on an Android device after Microsoft’s acquisition of its handset business

Microsoft is almost done and over with the acquisition of Nokia’s handset business but Nokia has already started off with its work on the Android devices and Microsoft is apparently not so positive about Nokia’s new approach towards Android. Joe Belfiore jokingly affirmed that Nokia will do things which will sometimes be very exciting and sometimes not so exciting but at the same time stating that Microsoft has enjoyed a good relationship with Nokia and together they have worked on some very interesting projects.

Nokia’s take on the Android devices comes from a number of leaked images which indicate that Nokia has its hands full with other things as well. And the much rumored Normandy device will be coming out later this month. It sounds disappointing that this is not an official Android device by Nokia and is only a forked version and this approach has been followed previously by some Asian handset makers. Nokia can use this phone to attract the customers who would want a lower priced phone but something better than what the Asha line has to offer.
