Microsoft’s new partners for Windows Phone will include LG and Lenovo

Microsoft’s MWC event has revealed the company’s new partners and its intentions to further enhance its mobile platform

Micrsoft certainly has got it big this time on its MWC event which was scheduled for today. It started off by giving details on the updates for Windows and Windows Phone. Later on there were some announcements were made giving an insight into the future plans of the company regarding its mobile platform which the company intends to make more flexible. In order to make this possible, to facilitate the operators as well as manufacturers, the company is now going to join hands with other companies. The ones we have on the list include LG, Lenovo and ZTE and some Indian companies Xolo, Karbonn and Lava. The company has given a free hand to others and has announced that anyone that can build a Windows Phone using the Qualcomm’s Reference Design. This also leaves a slight possibility of the Android-based hardware which can now be used again for Windows Phone.

The Vice President clearly stated that Microsoft is opening itself for business with anyone who wants a chance at the Windows Phone. This has given the company a chance to have open doors for other companies who want to join in and currently Microsoft is partnering with operators on some possible white label devices (devices built by manufacturers but carry the brand of operators).
