  • NBC’s SUPER STREAM SUNDAY App offers Super Bowl 2015 Live Stream Free.

NBC Universal announces free live streaming of Super Bowl XLIX on /2/1 for 11 uninterrupted hours.

Big Super Bowl fan? But not home on February 1? TV out of order? Gotta meet the in-laws? Working at the office?

NO PROBLEM!!!

NBC Universal will be bringing Super Bowl 2015 to you through free live streaming for all desktop and tablet users.

After launching the TV Everywhere campaign “Watch TV Without TV” NBC Universal is now offering “Super Stream Sunday” to it’s consumers.

This offer allows consumers to continuously watch the 11 hours of Super Bowl without having to log in. This campaign was launched in an effort to promote its TV Everywhere.

Alison Moore, General Manager and executive Vice President of TV Everywhere for NBC Universal confirmed that the launch of “Super Stream Sunday” was to raise awareness regarding their TV Everywhere offerings and to provide a chance for consumers to explore it and increase it’s digital viewership and ensure the subscribers feel that it is worth keep paying for.

The smartphone users worry not, Verizon will be launching it’s mobile app to stream the Super Bowl XLIX events live. It also means live video of the game will not be available to fans in the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.

Back in 2012 NBC live streamed the super bowl (Super Bowl XLVI) for the first time and became the first broad-caster to do so. Ever since then Fox and CBS have been offering live streaming too.

However the NBC has no rights over the mobile app that Verizon is launching and Verizon itself has exclusive rights over it.

Verizon and NFL will also be offering a Super Bowl Stadium app to its users which will include special in-stadium coverage and replays of the games from a total of FOUR different camera angles.

NBC Live Stream programming will include NBC’s Super Bowl 2015 live coverage from Arizona, Super Bowl XLIX pre-game coverage, halftime show by Katy Perry and Super Bowl XLIX post-game coverage.

The free live stream will begin at 12 pm ET on February 1. As an added bonus NBC Universal will also be airing an all new episode of the prime time drama “The Blacklist” at 10 pm ET.

All tablet users can stream 11 continuous hours of NBC content free via “SUPER STREAM SUNDAY” app that will be available in the NBC Sports Live Extra while the desktop users can watch the free stream here.

The highlight of this facility is that it is free for every body. Normally all the NBC consumers are required to log in using credentials from satellite, cable, or telco providers to view NBC.com or NBC Live Sports Extra content. But you don’t have to log in with your cable provider account to stream 11 continuous hours of NBC content on Super Bowl Sunday.

This is technically the first time NBC will be digitally broadcasting Super Bowl halftime show that is touted to include Katy Perry and Lenny Kravitz. The live feed will also include ads that were sold specifically for digital airing of the event.

This “SUPER STREAM SUNDAY” app that offers 1080p for Retina iPads will available to only users in US. The live streaming of “Super Stream Sunday” will also be available for view only to fans based in the US.

But the fans overseas not need to disappointed. NFL Game Passes priced at $9.99, which will include the ability to watch Super Bowl XLIX live or on-demand online will be available for you to enjoy your super bowl game.
