Netflix has signed on to reboot five family and children entertainment shows including Inspector Gadget, Danger Mouse and Richie Rich

Netflix has been investing in a lot of children’s programs. It has been showcasing Creative Galaxy, Annedroids, Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street, Tumble Leaf as four of its original children TV shows. Other than that it has a contract with Pixar for 300 hours showcasing its current characters on TV.

Netflix has given a lot of attention to children and family programs and it does not seem to be stopping. Netflix has signed on to reboot five cartoon and animated shows to be aired by next year on the network. The five shows include; the 1980s tech cartoons Inspector Gadget, the cartoon superhero, Danger Mouse. The awesome toy shop kid owner show, Some Assembly Required, Super 4, a brand new CGI animated series and the children book’s based Bottersnikes and Gumbles.

Some Assembly required is based on the adventures of Javier Raines; a fourteen years old kid who inherits the Knickknack toy company and hires his classmates to make the company work. Created by Dan Signer and Howard Nemetz, the show is produced by Thunderbird films.

The show will be featuring Kolton Stewart as the main character.’ Bottersnikes and Gumbles’ is based on a children’s book with three young Gumbles, Tink, Bounce and Will. The Gumbles will be bouncing around. The show will be showed on the network along with the rest of the world including Canada and Australia in spring next year.

The attraction seems to be Inspector Gadget probably because it was such a hit show when it ran in 80s. It was popular for it’s theme of a bionic technically modified private detective. It was also adapted into a movie starring Matthew Broderick. Netflix will be rebooting the series for 26 episodes in spring 2016. The show will be in animation with Inspector Gadget with all new tech and gadgets.

The other show with all the excitement is Danger Mouse. British show about a secret agent mouse. It first ran in the United Kingdom in 1981, aired later on Nickelodeon in the USA from 1982-1992. Netflix will debut 26 half-hour episodes of Danger Mouse, produced by Fremantle and the BBC, in the USA in the spring of 2016.

The network is really putting on a lithe effort on creating a family network. Erik Barmack, Vice President of Global Independent Content said that he was excited and that’s why they are working with the best people to make this an excellent family experience.
