  • Public Finally Allowed Entry to the WTC Observatory

The public will finally be allowed entry to the WTC observatory today. This is a relief and a source of joy for many enthusiastic and adventurous individuals.

It’s been more than 13 years since 9/11 and today things are safe and secure in the US of A. That is why the public is going to be allowed access to the three floor observatory in the WTC.

Everyone has come a long way since that fateful day in September after the turn of the millennium. Situated on the 100th, 101st and 102nd floors of the WTC, the observatory is located in the tallest structure on the planet.

Today is the day of this year when the public will line up for a gander hundreds of feet below on the observatory. It takes barely less than a minute to reach the 102nd floor of the WTC.

While no one is suggesting that the wounds of the past have exactly healed, the observatory lends a bird’s eye view that celebrates the cityscape of the Big Apple and is also a symbol of renewal.

But the fact of the matter is that anyone stepping into the elevator to reach the 102nd floor will have other thoughts on their mind than 9/11. It will be with a sense of hope and progress that he or she will face the future.

The thrilling and somewhat frightening experience does not come for free though. The tickets will come at $32 for adults, $30 for senior citizens and $26 for kids. Those little tykes and infants below five years of age are allowed entry free of cost.

Those who seek entry ahead of others will have to cough up more wads from their wallets. And there are also several memorabilia for sale including snacks in the cafeteria linked to the observatory.
