The headphones offer six hours of playback time and an LED to indicate about battery drainage

Things have certainly changed at Beats after Apple’s acquisition but the company is still pretty much all about headphones and the newest one into the Beats family is the Powerbeats which is kind of a revision of the original sport-friendly buds from Beats. However, there is a slight twist to this one; these earbuds are completely wireless which makes them the Beats’ first in-ears to cut the cord.

The original hook-over-the-ear has been retained and according to Beats, these will offer a playback time of six hours after a full charge. And if in case the battery is running low and you don’t have enough time to recharge it, then you can simply plug it in for a couple of minutes and they will be good to go for at least an hour. The Powerbeats are also perfect for your workout routine, particularly if you plan to sweat a lot on your day at the gym, because they are IPX4 water resistant.

One of the best things about these wireless headphones is the LED which is an indicator in case your battery is running out of juice. You will start getting a warning an hour before the battery is about to get empty and these warnings will increase in the last fifteen minutes. The headphones will launch later this month in the Beats’ signature colors of red, white and black and will costs $199.
