RadioShack Tries to Survive with Smart Toys and Price Match for the Holidays

Troubled RadioShack just announced their offerings for the Holiday shopping season.

RadioShack was once the go to store for geeks. Now the electronics retailer is financial troubles trying to avoid bankruptcy. Earlier this month RadioShack secured financing of $120m to operate through the crucial Holiday shopping season. RadioShack has already closed 200 stores, but actually planned to close more location. So don’t be surprised if a RadioShack near you is closing. To make the Holiday shopping season a success, RadioShack bets on offering exclusive gifts, interactive toys and new services.

The RadioShack Price Match guarantee matches prices on identical products from local brick-and-mortar competitors, major online retailers (excluding wireless phones from online retailers) and RadioShack.com at the time of purchase or within 15 days of the purchase. The RadioShack Ship 4 Free service ships items out of stock at your local RadioShack that are in stock at another RadioShack location for free.

RadioShack offers a wide ranges of payment and financing solutions on the market, giving customers the option to use the plan that works for them. Two new monthly pay programs are now available. RadioShack relaunched its RadioShack Credit Card, now with the choice of 5 percent back as a statement credit or available no-interest financing options. When using the RadioShack Credit Card on RadioShack.com, customers receive free shipping on orders of $25 or more. In addition, the new SmartPay everyday leasing option lets customers get immediate approval to acquire electronic devices today and pay for them over time with easy fixed payments. SmartPay also offers 90 days same-as-cash and $0 upfront to qualified customers. This lease-to-own program is a much better option than traditional retail layaway plans where customers have to make all payments before taking their merchandise home.
