Rebel Wilson Confirms Pitch Perfect 3, Talks About Being Fat Amy

Pitch Perfect 2’s a month from premiering, but star Rebel Wilson dished that the third movie’s in the works. With a third film possibly under her belt, Wilson opened up on what it’s like to be Fat Amy.

The Los Angeles Times landed a big scoop in the world of the Pitch Perfect: a third one’s already in the works.

Pitch Perfect 2 hasn’t even released yet but the LA Times‘ Amy Kaufman tweeted that Rebel Wilson’s already signed on for the third in the series. The biggest question is if Anna Kendrick will come back. Kendrick’s career’s taken an upswing and it might be difficult to replicate the idea of the movies for a third film.

In the second film, the all-female a cappella group are looking to earn back a stripped title in an international singing showcase. Fat Amy /4/have inadvertently caused a little scandal. Maybe.

Of course, Wilson also let it slip on her Twitter that fans can see an exclusive sneak peek at the life of the Bellas during the MTV Movie Awards tonight. The Australian actress hosted in 2013.

Comedian Amy Schumer will be serving master of ceremonies for the 2015 awards, though.

Rebel recently opened up to Elle Australia about what makes her so different from Pitch Perfect‘s Fat Amy, her most well-known role to date.

“I don’t like to be like that in real life, because it’s draining.” Being on all the time means she’d “be a psycho.” No one really wants to be that psychotic and aggressive all the time, right?

So instead, she’s all about the relaxation. “You gotta chill out and just be normal for a bit, I say.”

And what does being normal mean? Well, according to Rebel, it’s knowing who your real friends are and Hollywood isn’t necessarily the best place for building long-term bonds.

“You can’t call them if you fall over and break your leg, but if you’re having a BBQ and wanna chitchat, you hang out with them, or you go to their house.”

Make no mistake, though. The woman who loves to dress in jeans and cartoon designed tee-shirts can switch on that aggressive, comedic timing when warranted. And Fat Amy can pop up a bit every now and then, especially concerning the craft of making movies.

“I hate people who do a lot of takes. I like to nail it and then go home. I like to crush it in, like, two takes.”

Pitch Perfect 2 hits theaters on /4/15, 2015.
