Reese Witherspoon has her guardian angel to thank. The star recently missed a parking fine by a whisker. According to TMZ, the star had just walked out of a boxing training session when she spotted a police officer standing next to her car. Fortunately for Witherspoon, the officer recognized her.
An insider who works with Los Angeles Transportation Department told TMZ that Witherspoon was actually saved by the wide smile that she put on after seeing the officer who seemed to be taking her car details. When the officer recognized her, he simply allowed her to go scot free. That is why it helps to be a celebrity because any other person would have been issued with a fine ticket.
Express has learned that Reese is returning to the big screens sooner than we can expect. The actress has been away for quite some time. The long break is now over probably because Tennessee has just turned two years.
The star has just finished filming for The Good Lie. Reese will pose as a good Samaritan in the series where she will assist four Sudanese refugees settle down in US after escaping from their country.
You /4/not notice Reese in the film if you are used to seeing her in blond hair because she has dyed her hair to dark brown. She switched to a different color to fit in a character of a lady who works with a recruitment agency. The star said the changes in her outlook were inspired by the film director because they wanted her to match perfectly with her character.
“The first thing the director said to me was, ‘This movie isn’t about you,’” she said.“I’ve never had a director say that to me before but it made me happy, because I think for a few years I was a little bit lost, not being able to find what I wanted to do and not making choices I was ultimately very happy with. But with this, I was just getting back to playing interesting, dynamic female characters.”
Reese said she settled for a different hairdo just to try something that was far from what she is used to and hide the babyfat that she had accumulated after the birth of her second son. “We kind of worked that out with the hair and make-up people. It’s nice to depart from your usual self and I was covering my baby weight, too,” she stated.
The actress argued that she was initially torn between filming for the series and taking care of her new bundle of joy.She later changed her mind after going through the script.
“I’d just had a baby, so at first I didn’t know if I wanted to make the movie because I was still nursing,” she explains. “You know how your brain gets confused right after you have a baby? Then I read the script and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh!
I can’t not do this.’ Not only was it a great role but it was also an opportunity to raise awareness of the plight of these lost boys and girls from Sudan. There are so many issues here that I think it’s really great to take your kids to this movie.”
