The New York Jets are losing the season 6-1 and their head coach Rex Ryan might be losing his job because of the team’s losing streak.
The New York Jets, the champions of the NFL for many years, are losing yet another season this year. In the seven matches they have played, they are losing the series 6-1 and things don’t seem to be getting any better. Their game with the New England Patriots didn’t raise any spirits for the fan or the team’s management who are not looking to give up to other teams but it looks like they might not have a choice. Many people are however expecting Head Coach Rex Ryan to be fired on the basis of this year’s defeat.
Ryan is still on the coach because of his record of taking the team to the AFC championship in the first two years when he joined the team. He beat Peter Manning and Tom Brady for future hall of famers in two consecutive weeks back in 2010. Rex is capable. He planned two defensive plays that disabled the Patriots and Colts. Some might question his ability as a coach but many think he is the best man for the job and should be given another chance.
The problem might persist in the team. The lack of talent in the team on both; offensive and defensive sides are key in the team’s defeat. The D-line is a better after the General Manager John Idzik and Mike Tannenbaum got him the players that he wanted in the draft which included Mohammad Wilkerson. Some people think that the defense still lacks a punch.
But it /4/be offence that needs a lot more punch because the team has no comebacks, there’s barely a capable wide receiver and they have no quarterback talent whatsoever. The management might need to spend some money to actually go on a hunt for a quality quarterback and instead of putting Ryan’s neck on the line who is still putting up a fight with what he’s got and intends to do so in the future. They might do well if they actually consult Ryan while scoring players so he might take the team to the championships and win it because at the end of the day, that is all that matters.
