Rihanna cancels Brit Awards 2015 Performance

Rihanna was reportedly set to perform at the Brit Awards 2015 tonight in London, but she cancelled according to a breaking report.

The Brit Awards 2015 take place tonight at the O2 in London. Part of the high profile performance line-up was reportedly Rihanna. The Sun (pay wall) reports now that Rihanna did not show up for rehearsals and that she has pulled out. Rihanna’s performance would have been one of the big highlights. Rumors said that Rihanna would perform a new song from her album that no other than Prince wrote. Some rumors even went as far as saying that Prince would join Rihanna on stage.

Now the Rihanna’s Brit Awards appearance will not happen. The organizers of the Brit Awards managed though to score another high profile act that they just announced. Kanye West will perform a new song. This will be his second BRIT Awards performance after his legendary 2006 appearance.

The Brit Awards 2015 performers include Madonna, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Paloma Faith, George Ezra, Royal Blood and Take That.

The BRIT Awards will be streamed on YouTube across the globe for the second consecutive year.  The Brit Awards live Youtube stream ins not available in UK and Ireland. Local residents have to turn to TV channel ITV to watch. The Brit Awards 2015 stream will begin at 8pm GMT (3pm ET).

The performances from tonight’s BRIT Awards will be exclusively available on Google Play Music free of charge shortly after the show. Google Play will be making a donation to War Child and The BRIT Trust for every song downloaded or streamed.

The nominations for the Brit Awards 2015 include Ed Sheeran, George Ezra, Sam Smith, FKA Twigs, Lily Allen, Paloma Faith, Alt-J, Coldplay, One Direction, Beck, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, First Aid Kit and many more. Fans will be able to vote for the best British video when the show starts. Nominated are Calvin Harris – ‘Summer’, Ed Sheeran – ‘Thinking Out Loud’, Mark Ronson ft Bruno Mars – ‘Uptown Funk’, One Direction – ‘You and I’ and Sam Smith – ‘Stay With Me’.
