Rochester wins Pepsi Hyped for Super Bowl Halftime Hometown Competition

Pepsi is entirely focused on promoting the Pepsi Super Bowl 2015 Halftime show. One of the promotion is the Pepsi Hyped Halftime Hometown Competition. Now the winning city has been announced.

Pepsi‘s marketing strategy for the Super Bowl 2015 has only one focus: Super Bowl Halftime Show. Pepsi is promoting the Pepsi sponsored Super Bowl 2015 halftime show since months. Katy Perry will be performing this year’s halftime show. Besides several online videos, Pepsi is hosting competitions around the Super Bowl halftime. One of them is the “The Most Hyped Hometown in America.”

Consumers could send in photos and videos showing how hyped they are for the Superbowl halftime show. The town with the most and best submissions wins the competition. According to the Democrat & Chronicle, Rochester won by the sheer number of submissions. Rochester residents submitted over 500 entries.

Rochester will be treated by Pepsi on Sunday, Jan. 18 with a pop-up concert featuring a special unannounced guest. Several Rochester residents will be winning tickets to the Super Bowl 2015

Pepsi will reveal later today more details on Rochester’s win on the Pepsi Hyped for Halftime site.

Besides these efforts, Pepsi is also set to run a 30-second Pepsi Super Bowl 2015 ad right before the halftime show begins.
