The actor luckily remained safe and uninjured in the hit-and-run incident

Actor Ryan Reynolds became a victim of hit-and-run on Sunday, when he was hit by a car moving in the parking lot of Shangri-la hotel in Vancouver, according to Associated Press reports.

The 38 years old Ryan Reynolds was in the city over the past several weeks for the shooting of his upcoming film “Deadpool”. On Sunday, he was walking through an underground parking garage when a car driven by a paparazzi photographer struck him.

Reynolds publicist Leslie Sloane confirmed that Ryan Reynolds was safe and did not sustain injuries but the person driving the car could not be arrested and ran away after the incident. “The man fled the scene. Ryan is okay.” Leslie Sloane said.

Some sources also reported that paparazzi photographer was seemingly interested in taking the pictures of Reynolds. He jumped into the car after taking pictures and hit the actor while leaving the premises.

Spokesperson constable Brian Montague sent an email to the media, reconfirming Ryan Reynolds is not injured but there is still a great deal of doubt whether Ryan or someone else has reported this incident to the police.

“I don’t know whether it is at with confirming the drive ID, locating him, speaking with him or deciding if charges are appropriate.” Montague said via email.

No further information was provided by the police or Ryan himself.
