The S5 Active is no less than the S5 and will feature the same design and camera setup of the S5
It has been a while since we started hearing about the Active version of the Galaxy S5 and since the S5 already comes with IP67 certification for dust and water resistance, we all have been wondering what was the need for an Active version after all this perfection. Well, as it happens, Samsung wouldn’t stop at anything and it is still looking to take things further up. The new flagship has not been official as yet but it is already leaving its traces everywhere on the internet.
A leaked case has been posted today which was specially designed for the Galaxy S5 Active and from the pictures of it we can somehow point our fingers at what is going to be in store with the Active version. As opposed to what we expected, the S5 Active is going to retain almost the same design as its predecessor’s instead of the S5. Is we recall, the S4 Active sported four screw caps on the back and now it appears most likely that the S5 Active will also feature them.
As far as the performance of the phone is concerned, then the S5 Active is no less than the S5 and will be powered by the Snapdragon 801 chipset complete with 2GB of RAM. The camera setup is also identical with the existing S5 which means 16 megapixels at the back and 2 megapixels at the front.
