The much awaited Galaxy smartphone will be finally showcased at the CES 2015.

A recent report claims that Samsung will be displaying its S6 smartphone at the CES 2015 but only to select partners and not consumers. The CES 2015 will be held in Las Vegas from the 6th of January.

Samsung will be introducing its Galaxy S6 and a variant at CES 2015, according to Sammobile (via NDTV). The variant is thought to be the Galaxy S6 Edge. The new smartphone has been named by Samsung as ‘Project Zero’. This name has been given in order to indicate that the company has built the smartphone from a scratch.

The images that have been seen are of a metal casing but it is still not clear whether this is meant for Galaxy S6 or its anticipated variant. The alleged casing is seen to include two big cut-outs on both of its ends.

This is thought to house a camera, a loudspeaker and more. Moreover the edges that we have seen are quite familiar to the metal chassis on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Now whether Samsung will make a totally new design for the Galaxy S6 or will it resemble the Galaxy Note 4.

Plus last week we saw that the new Galaxy S6 was seen in comparison images with the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy S5. The new smartphone by Samsung was seen with a metal build and a working display featuring Android 5.0 Lollipop-styled lock screen.

Plus the rear panel of this smartphone will be featuring a metallic finish. The pictures that have been leaked have proved to be quite a help for seeing what the new Samsung Galaxy S6 will have.

The Galaxy S6 variant has been codenamed SM-G920F. This variant has been spotted on its way to India for research, development and evaluation purposes. This was confirmed by the Indian import/export site ‘Zauba’ the previous month. Plus the Indian website has listed the price at only Indian Rs. 18,938.

Moreover the Samsung Galaxy S6 variant (9SM-G925F) has also been spotted on the AnTuTu benchmark site. The site stated that the device will be featuring a 5.5 inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display.

The device will also support a 64 bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor along with a Mali-T760 GPU. Along with this the device will also have a 3GB RAM and a 20 megapixel rear camera with a 5 megapixel front camera. The new device will also have a 32GB inbuilt storage and Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Samsung will be displaying this variant and the Samsung Galaxy S6 at the CES 2015. The CES 2015 is the largest platform for businesses that thrive on consumer technology.
