Samsung Electronics is up to its good old tinkering ways once again. The company will be introducing at least two smartphones running on its own Tizen operating system in Q2 and an Android Wear smartwatch later this year.

Among the high and mighty plans that Samsung has ready in the form of its arsenal of consumer durables are a Tizen smartphone not to mention an Android Wear smartwatch.

The smartwatch it was to bring out was delayed due to certain market conditions. But now the clutter has been cleared and Samsung is ready to roll. Samsung is reportedly going to launch at least two smartphones running on its own Tizen operating system in second quarter and Android Wear smartwatch later this year.

Among its Galaxy S4 and S5 versions there were a ton of differences that got embedded into each smartphone. “(The S5) is selling faster than the S4 so far, though it’s difficult to share specific numbers as we’re still at early stages,” Yoon Han-kil, senior vice president of Samsung’s product strategy team, told Reuters in an interview. “S5 sales should be much better than the S4.”

But now the Tizen smartphone is meant to debut in the developing world instead. The limited audience in the Third World will be intensively bombarded with advertisements and marketing campaigns that will increase consumer demand by manifold degrees.

Meanwhile, the Tizen operation is being kept covert since it rivals Google’s program. No conflicts are to be evoked via a hard sell. It is in the second quarter that Samsung will debut its Tizen smartphones.

The Tizen operating system is completely different from Google or Apple. In this lies its special value as an alternative platform for the common people. Tizen couldn’t meld with DoCoMo or Orange. So Samsung was the perfect choice in the end if only by default.

“We had tried to launch (Tizen) with DoCoMo and Orange … but couldn’t because of poor market conditions. We have changed our strategy and will release the phones in a few countries where we can do well,” Yoon said.

The market now appears ripe for accepting products and services from the ambit of Samsung Electronics. And as for the wearable device, it will be so sophisticated that all the Pebbles and Apple iWatches will have been forgotten by the time it comes out on shelves in all its glory.

Samsung is one of the leading players in the global arena as far as fine electronic gadgets are concerned. It has a name and fame not to mention a reputation which it guards jealously. The latest two products which are expected to roll out from Samsung will garner sufficient attention to make for a swift and hefty profit that will go straight into the company’s coffers.
