Scarlett Johansson has been offered ten million dollars by the production of Ghost in the Shell movie.

Scarlett Johansson has had amazing success in Luc Besson’s ‘Lucy’ and her action packed role of the Black Widow has given the actress the confidence and credentials to name her price for the upcoming movie, Ghost in the Shell by Dreamworks.

The adaption of the graphic novel has already got a team including with Rupert Sanders(Snow White and the Huntsman’s) as the director and Avi Arad (Spider-Man), Steven Paul (Ghost Rider), and Mark Sourian (Need for Speed) producing the script from Bill Wheeler.

The actress was offered ten million dollars to reprise the role of Major Kusanagi. We will definitely be seeing Scarlett as a augmented-cybernetic human kicking some terrorists and thugs ass on the cyber warfare front of a futuristic cyberpunk version of Japan as the part of the Elite force 9. This would hopefully give her some break from playing Natasha Romanov/Black Widow and allow her to distance herself from Marvel.

Scarlett was not the first choice for the movie. Dreamworks was in talks with Margo Robbie. Robbie only has Wolf of Wall Street to her credits and signing on a superhero movie would definitely give her a lift to her career especially when the production of the Suicide Squad is in talks with actors like Will Smith, Tom Hardy and Ryan Gosling to join the cast. The movie is about a team of super villains joining force to fight a black ops mission for the government.

It would be exciting to see both the ladies in the roles of fighting superheroes or villain in Margo’s case. We can look forward to a fun, action packed summer in 2015.
