The new update of the famous video chat service will allow users to share photos with offline contacts and now you can also use other applications while video chatting.
So this is a major update from Skype. We were never able to do anything when we were making a video call. We were able to access other apps as soon as the video call ended. Now you will be able to access other applications while you’re on a Skype video call.
The new update is also going to allow users with sharing photos with their Skype contacts in offline mode. The Skype application that was made for the tablet users allowed them to use other apps but with the Skype 5.2 update, we will see improvement in call quality and the application now runs without any lags.
Skype wants their users to have the Facebook Messenger experience. With the Facebook Messenger you are able to send messages and photos while not connected to the internet. You will be able to do just that with the new Skype update.
You will send the photos and as soon as your contact comes online, they will get the photos or the message. The update on iPhone came before the one on the Android platform.
Now iPhone users can make Skype their default calling app as the new update has given them the uniform resource identifiers support. So it seems like Skype wants to establish itself as an application with everything.
Skype has added some new functionalities to their app by bringing a picture in picture view which means that you will be able to access other apps while video chatting. And now if you have a low bandwidth, you will still get good quality on your call.
