Snickers Super Bowl 2015 Ad announced

SNICKERS is thinking to start is old campaign from where it first started Super Bowl.

SNICKERS Brand is planning to bring back its old and award winning global ‘You’re Not You When You’re Hungry’ campaign. Moreover it plans to do this from where it started that is Super Bowl Sunday.

Mars Chocolate North America recently announced that Snickers is all set and is bringing an all-new commercial to the country’s biggest marketing stage that is Super Bowl XLIX on NBC. The new commercial is said to be released on Sunday February 1. 

Although SNICKERS is an official sponsor of NFL with a history of advertising during this most watched sporting event in America it has not released a commercial for the brand since 2011. That makes it nearly 4 years, that’s quite a long time!

The ‘You’re Not You When You’re Hungry’ campaign was first introduced by Snickers in 2010. The humorous commercial included a hungry football player who turns into a slow moving Betty White due to hunger.

This commercial was loved by the media and consumers and that is why it remained at the top of several fan polls. Moreover You’re Not You When You’re Hungry’ today appears in more than 80 countries.

This shows how successful the commercial was and is still very much liked by the people. Allison Miazga-Bedrick, Director at SNICKERS Brand expressed that the company was excited and thrilled to bring the successful ‘You’re Not You When You’re Hungry’ campaign back to the place where it actually started.

He also explained that the company knows that Super Bowl provides a great opportunity and platform to start the campaign what the company thinks will be a very successful year for SNICKERS.

The director also explained that this SNICKERS was selected because the company just felt that this year is for SNICKERS to make a comeback. He explained that SNICKERS is an iconic brand and that is why an iconic event like the Super Bowl is selected for its campaign to kick off. 

The commercial is said to be 30 second long and will be produced by BBDO New York. The commercial will again use a celebrity which is still unknown. Nowadays SNICKERS has been airing a commercial starring Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel. Let’s see who is going to star in this years commercial!

Mars was established in 1911 by Frank C. Mars who made the first Mars candies in his kitchen in Tacoma, Washington. In the 1920’s he was joined in by his son Forrest E. Mars and together they duo launched the MILKY WAY bar.
