Sofia Vergara’s Ex Sues Over Embryos

Nick Loeb, who dated the actress for several years, wants to prevent her from destroying them.

Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb decided a few years ago, while they were still together, that they should create a preserve embryos with her eggs and his sperm. The embryos were created in 2013 and have been chilling in a facility in Beverly Hills ever since. Now that Sofia has become engaged to another man, actor Joe Manganiello, she wants to destroy them. Loeb, however, has threatened legal action in court documents obtained by InTouch. 

Nick claims that the pair were already planning to implant the embryos in a surrogate, and that he wants to continue with that plan. While Nick says that they agreed in writing that they wouldn’t destroy the embryos, there has been no proof of that. Nick is also suing the fertility center to keep them from destroying the embryos. The jilted man goes on to say in the lawsuit that Sofia punched him in the face twice, kicked him, and threw a cellphone at his head.

A source tells InTouch that even though Sofia was allegedly a monster to him, he still wants a baby with her.

“Nick has always wanted to be a father and will do whatever it takes to save these two remaining female embryos. Nick is very emotionally invested in these female embryos because he’s pro-life and believes life begins at conception.”
