The AS20 joins Sony’s popular POV cameras – the AS100V and the AS30V. It will hit shelves next month.
Joining Sony’s smorgasbord of action cameras is the AS20, which is making a debut in the U.S today. Sony’s latest offering features the latest POV imaging technologies such as SteadyShot image stabilization which, Sony claims, control camera shake and vibration.
The AS20, then, is perfect for the outdoors, perhaps for biking and skiing. One interesting feature is its built-in Wi-Fi functionality which connects to Sony’s RM-LVR1 Live-View remote. Of course, you can enslave the camera to your iOS or Android device to upload those cool outdoor photos and videos.
The Sony AS20 action camera dons a 16.8-megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor under a ZEISS Tessar lens that has a 170-degree field of view. Want to record your ohhs and ahhs? There’s a built-in stereo microphone for that.
Lastly, the camera is wrapped in an ultra-compact body that is light to carry. The AS20 joins Sony’s popular POV cameras – the AS100V and the AS30V. The Sony AS20 hits shelves next month and sells for $200.
