Sony introduces Blu-ray Disc Players BDP-S6500, BDP-S5500, BDP-S3500 and BDP-S1500 at CES 2015

These new Blu-ray disc players will let the consumers watch a wide range of online video services.

Sony Electronics introduced its latest Blu-ray Disc players today at the CES 2015 in Las Vegas. These disc players are capable of providing top quality video from packaged Blu-ray Discs or even from instantly streamed online videos, TV shows and music from over 300 applications. T

hese applications include YouTube, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora and Amazon Instant Video and many more. These new disc players will give Sony the leadership in the Blu-ray Disc player category. 

Sony has introduced 4 new models in this line of Blu-ray Disc players. These models are BDP-S6500, BDP-S5500, BDP-S3500 and BDP-S1500. All these disc players have been equipped with features which will enhance the viewing experience of the consumers.

There is a Quick Start/Quick Load feature that will enable the viewers to jump right into their entertainment. Moreover the Miracast technology allows the users to display photos and videos from a compatible Android smartphone to their TV screens by wirelessly connecting through their Blu-ray Disc player.

Plus all consumers who love entertainment will be happy to learn that these new disc players have been equipped with the PlayStationNow (PS Now) application. Thanks to this application the users will be able to stream and play PlayStation 3 games directly on a TV, without a console and using just their disc player and a DUALSHOCK 4 controller. 

The Sony BDP-S6500 Blu-ray Disc Player is the flagship model which will be having a 4K up scaling function and will be available in early summer of 2015. This disc player will be 3D capable and will also have a Dual Core processor for a fast performance.

Moreover it will be having the Miracast technology and the PlayStationNow application. Plus the addition of TRILUMINOS Display technology will produce even higher quality images along with the IP Noise Reduction Pro which further improves the image quality of streamed content. This player is on display at CES 2015.

The Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray Disc Player will have a built in Wi-Fi and a 3D playback and will also be available in the spring of 2015. Like the BDP-S6500 this model will also be equipped with the Miracast technology and the PlayStationNow application. The IP Noise Reduction Pro will not be a feature of this model however it will have the TRILUMINOS Display technology. CES 2015 visitors can see this player now at Sony booth.

The Sony BDP-S3500 Blu-ray Disc Player will not have the 3D playback option but it will have a built in Wi-Fi which will help in streaming online. Moreover this model will also be available in the spring of 2015. It will have a Full HD 1080p Blu-ray Disc playback. Get your hands on to this device by visiting Sony booth at CES 2015.
