Rumors have intensified quite a bit lately revealing details like the $10 per month price point, exclusive content deals and just in today, a whopping 3 month free Apple Music trial.

If you still had doubts that Apple will launch the Apple Music streaming service today in the WWDC 2015 keynote, Sony Music Boss can help you out. According to VentureBeat, Doug Morris said in an interview on the stage of the Midem conference in Cannes, France that Apple will launch the streaming service at the WWDC 2015.

Doug Morris definitely is in the know as Apple cannot launch a streaming service without Sony Music content. Morris said that the launch of Apple Music streaming will be a tipping point for the music streaming industry.

Morris said according to VentureBeat: “What does Apple bring to this? “Well, they’ve got $178 billion dollars in the bank. And they have 800 million credit cards in iTunes. Spotify has never really advertised because it’s never been profitable. My guess is that Apple will promote this like crazy and I think that will have a halo effect on the streaming business. A rising tide will lift all boats. It’s the beginning of an amazing moment for our industry.”

He hits all the points that should Spotify’s executives give nightmares thinking about it. It will be rising tide for the music industry, but not for competing streaming services.
